Sanuk was started by surfers in southern California in the late ’90s who were looking for footwear that reflected their lighthearted way of life. Founder Jeff Kelley was disappointed to see little selection in a category of footwear that had become his main shoe staple: the flip flop. Jeff had always been fascinated in footwear and with a little aid from a few friends Sanuk was born. I’m really liking these Sandal Shoe hybrids. I’ve had the vans surfriders, and these are my first pair of Sanuks.

The quality of the Sanuk brand is noticeably better than the vans I have. And they seem more breathable. My vans sometimes feel like no air is moving through the inside, while the Sanuks felt less humid on the inside after wearing them for a few hours.

I would keep in mind that these are basically regular shoes with insoles that feel like slippers. If you want the feel of a slipper in a shoe i would highly recommend these, especially if you are a flip flop and shorts type of guy like me.

Sanuk sandals

These sandals bring the usual comfort and style that I have come to enjoy with the Sanuk line. I usually go with the slip-ons because I prefer jumping into the sandals quickly and heading to my destination. So with a little more effort (shoestrings) I still enjoy my sojourning in extreme comfort and individual style.

Item delayed because of price increase??

One of the two Sanuk shoes I ordered was shipped a day after ordering, that was GREAT! Thanks! UNFORTUNATELY for the other one (shunami), Amazon is telling me that the shipment’s waiting time will be delayed for more than a month. Hmmm, most probably because of a price increase (regular price)? Ordered it while “on-sale” and the price just almost doubled when the sale ended.

Now, I’m one unhappy customer because of this. Even though, I have bought an item with a “SALE” price, of course, I am expecting to get it even after the sale ended, considering that the order was confirmed while it was on sale.

Amazon and other sellers should be honest to honor an “ON-SALE” transaction and ship the item. I’m pretty sure that there’s no stocks shortage for this item since it has an “In Stock” status. Why wouldn’t they ship an item if they have it on STOCK?

I am now left with two options: to cancel it or to “approve” the said delay.

Who can wait for more than 40 DAYS for a pair of shoes?
